- Chain crew: holding the down markers on the sideline
Equipment
Bring your own
- Football boots (cleats), any colour or style
- Socks: black, white or red
- A mouthguard (any colour except clear or white)
- An undershirt: black or white
- A training shirt to wear over your pads
- Strapping tape
- Gloves
- A girdle, or hip, thigh and tailbone pads
The club can lend you
- A helmet
- Shoulder pads
- A game-day uniform (jersey and pants)
First-year players can borrow club equipment for the season, including pre-season. You'll sign a form for what you borrow, and give a credit card number as security. Bring everything back after your last game or at the end of the season, whichever comes first. From your second year you'll need your own game-day uniform and at least a helmet or shoulder pads.
Insurance
As with any contact sport, we recommend private health insurance including ambulance cover. If you're self-employed, think about income protection too.
Team messages
Seniors keep in touch through the team's Facebook group. Juniors and Women's Flag use the Spond app for training, games and messages. Your coach adds you once you've joined.
